Self-reputation
Picture this… your friend keeps making plans with you.
But then bails at the last moment.
They always have the same tired excuses.
Something came up. They’re feeling exhausted. They totally forgot.
For a little while you put up with it.
But then you start to wonder… do they really care about you?
Seems like they don’t prioritise you…
And you start to lose interest in making plans again.
The friendship fizzles out.
You may even start to dislike them.
Well, this is how we treat ourselves!
We come up with grand plans: dreams of becoming fit, changing job or moving abroad.
We make some effort in the beginning.
But when things get hard, we stop.
That habit of learning a language every evening?
We put it away on the shelf with everything else.
And then we start to question if we’re ever capable of change.
Let me tell you… You absolutely can!
You have it in you.
You have the motivation deep down, otherwise you wouldn’t even be considering it for yourself.
But start small.
Set a deadline and then take that one step.
Follow through.
Every time you do this, you build evidence that you do believe in yourself, that you are capable, that you do love yourself.
You become your best friend instead of your worst critic.
