i’m coming out… again

you see, mum, dad, friends

i’m not just a life coach

i’m a spiritual life coach

behind your backs i’ve been fooling around

with older men like alan watts and ram dass

christ, i’ve even flirted with him

forget the binaries

i’ve been seeking the company of women as well

brene brown and esther perell

have been on my lips

i’m ready to step out the closet

from the dark to the light

and share who i truly am

don’t worry, i’m not going to convert you

you like who you like

but if there’s a part of you that’s just a little bit curious

you might find yourself attracted too

see, i grew up atheist

the word god was anthemia

and i thought coaches were gross

funny how life turns out

the thing you resist the most

is often what you secretly want

over the years i’ve discovered presence, intuition and connection to the divine

my world has expanded, my mind has calmed

but it was a coaching experience that changed my life

and i realised that sometimes you need help, community and guidance

that’s why i’ve been running this business

but i’ve been side stepping the issue

yes i want to help people find their passion

yes i want to help people meditate and find inner peace

but more than anything

i want to help people cultivate their spiritual lives

to dance with the material world

and create a life that resonates

i want to help spiritual girls trapped in the material world

and i wonder if that’s you
