sand in the sea
these few words i thought i would collect them for you they are just sounds that have no volume they are traced across these lines like sand in the sea and i am a sailor and i am the wave and i am the beach where you watch the sailor on the sea and i am writing about you and i have never met you i can only wonder where you are and what brought you here as if i had thrown a message in a bottle a long time ago and you stumbled upon it and the words are worn thin by time and my situation is different but perhaps yours is the same perhaps you feel what i do that ache that hollow that longing where did we get it from whose inheritance was so grand that the whole world should bear it and as i learn to refuse this gift i seek answers in my finger tips trusting this part of me more than i have trusted a part of me before i dont know where they take me i only follow them wondering what made me an instrument of this and if i am only pixel or if i am made of particle and is there any difference for what brings life to these digits of space and not those ones i judge you for your lack of inquisitiveness i judge you for staying blind choosing numbness i judge you because i judge myself i confess this to you now so that you know it was never personal and these words were not meant for you but to be returned to me like a boomerang that would strike me across my head and remind me that i had thrown something to someone somewhere
