Trauma rings in the body Like tinnitus After a while you forget its there Until those quiet moments When it screams In terror The body tenses up But with a little dissaocitation entertainment, distraction I bring myself back from the abyss But back where? My body is no longer safe The only home I have I’d forgotten Forgotten what it feels like to expand into all my pours To feel full and open To breathe in life Trusting Until the time was right And my bones were strong enough Resonant For my body to sing I can be with the tinatus not avoid it bring it to my awareness And love it Until eventually I create internal harmony Once more
