the darkest days
remember the darkest days when you had nothing no money left and yet you applied yourself to jobs day by day and little by little moved closer because you knew you had to it was time and it was hard that reality a year ago thats not that long thats not that long at all you were different shrivelled by life it was hard to breathe with this ancient shadow that longed for your light it grasped you in its fists and squeezed till a tear fell out and then more and then you shook and groaned and like some chasmic opening you found yourself a well deeper than you imagined endless and those moments grew for you were not small when you were buried so deep in the earth and you grew in courage day by day for winds could not break you and outwards with each changing season and lastly you breathed out a sigh that those around you breathed in and with the sun and the moon on your back your shadow danced again
