at my own reflection
my fingers in your mouth look at me and i wont blink and ill do it ill pull the trigger ill spit take it and you’ll cry and im shivering i shouldnt i shouldnt i shouldnt look at you like that at my own reflection my poorest and dearest for i am just a passing moment a window that breaks like the sands of time returning to original form so why do you scare me why i am afraid to look at you who do you keep from me and where do you hide yourself in these passing glimpses i am unsettled and i hear it falling into my ears like that time i said i would cry but you laughed and i fell to the earth where i felt i belonged but even there my hands felt cold and i heard the sadness of silence for the first time like tinnitus the non stop ringing everywhere i went there too and i wanted to escape so i did everything i could i tried to be everyone i tried to please everyone and i became no one but a stranger to myself and now i pluck at these keys as though you would hear me over the sounds of grief but i am a wandering lover a long lost bow aching for arrow
